I ride an R65 (1983) and have sailed alone from Britain to The Gambia, so I'm used to adventure travel. All I need to do is build up the confidence to go riding for a few months in Europe. Tiffany, I so enjoyed your talk and slideshow at the 2012 Int'l BMW rally in Sedalia. I have only been riding my own bike for a year and haven't dropped it in about 8 months, so I was inspired by all the hardships you worked through and how fearless you are. A reformed indoors southern belle, I'm finding lots of fun outdoors learning and trying new things, and I'm looking forward to graduating to my first GS :)

The advert is obviously a bit fake - they flew Tiffany out from England and Thelma over from the USA and then a crew followed her around in air-conditioned camera cars for a week; it's all in her blog on her website. But Tiffany is the real deal and then some, as is Thelma (the R80GS). At the end of the shoot, they flew Tiffany home and her bike back to America, ready for her next adventure on it.
