Michula and Terry of Antix put up a double pole synchro choreo performance a few days ago. There was nice move in it called the "Descent" It is a little harder than it looks--from a strength point of view. Michula and Terry did it as a slide...I just wanted to hold it as a static pose.

The move is a nice combination of the buddy grip/armpit grip..and the forward knee hook.

Much gratitude, thanks, and credit to Michula of Antix Studio. Her studio is in Redlands, California. Check it out!

Joel

PS: I am also working on the (reverse, i.e., exiting) super-invert from a tutorial graciously made for me by Sim. Didn't like my results yet...I'm still working on it and when anything looks decent enough for posting, i will put some of those clips up!

OK...so they DISABLED my audio. A first for me. The label information for MATCHBOX 20 clearly says BMG! The YT censor claims it is a Warner Music Group product. Did MATCHBOX 20 change labels from Bertelsman to Warner? Because it says BMG, plain as day on the label...BMG (Bertelsman) is a YOU-TUBE partner!

ARGGGHH! Well I chose the Edward Grieg. He's cool...this morning piece always ends the Adler Planetarium shows here in Chicago. It's been 20 minutes and it still hasn't processed. I'm gonna switch it over to public...hope they put the music on soon.

YOU-TUBE!--what's the matter with you guys?

  • @onli1luv lol...

  • holy crap. just found this. thanks for the credit but I am sure that someone else has done this somewhere before. Furthermore, it is in a group of descends. I don't have a specific name for it, other than it is in a group of ways to 'descend' down the pole. Make sense? Also, I try to get the outside leg parallel to the pole and hips flat so that the hooked leg's knee is pointed to the floor and the pole in actually right above the hamstring. Make sense. You amaze me!!!!!! XOXOXOXOOX

  • Thanks! It's a great move...but it sure hurt a lot, LOL! I will revisit the move again and play around with that knee hook to get it just right!
