Nope, they literally gave us a link to the demo during the q&a. They didn't have a release date but said before the wii u.

@Shicky256 thanks... that 44 second video is it?? is there any information about official release, trials, etc... ?
-
If you wanted to see the preview, just go to Laguanacloud's channel. It's the one the people that were at the q&a saw.

So, I missed the Q&A. Anyway I could catch some information about the program or a review of the preview?

@heuylewis5000 It's not that it's impossible. But I would like to use Xband again before I turn 40. My team at one point in time had joined up with the other people interested in reviving the hardware. Even with the original Genesis client source code, and the original stripped down Xband Server code it would be a big task, and even then there wouldn't be much room for scalability. Who has phone lines anymore anyways?

@Xband411 i bet you anything there are more complicated things out there than the ancient Xband modem
I don't understand. Is there some sort of home brew effort to relaunch the xband?

@Trollioli Yes, this is a homebrew launch, but instead of using the original hardware (too complex, will never happen), it will function on PC and Wii. Drop by the demo to see what it looks like and what it will have to offer.

@Xband411 your full of yourself i think you can still use the original hardware. I for one never give up on trying things.

@heuylewis5000 Haha... feel free to prove me wrong man. You'd better have a lot of money and time on hand though. Otherwise someone would have gotten it working in the last 14 years. And this is not my opinion. This is information gathered from former Xband engineers.

@Xband411
I've been in on this since April 30th, 1997...I can testify that ALOT of people have tried to get XBAND working again. I think the closest anyone got was making a modem to modem phone call through the SNES.

@RawChristianSuperman I agree. Many have tried, but it just hasn't happened. I have all the respect in the world for those that have attempted it. However it's just not realistically feasible to expect the original Xband hardware to ever work properly in the near future, no matter how much we all might want it to happen.
