Endeavour's final night launch. I filmed this with my friends Shaggy and Rhyne. Shaggy brought his 16 millimeter film camera so that's what is making the clicking noise.
Launch:
STS-130
Equipment:
Nikon D90
75-300 Tamron Lens
Velbon Tracer Tripod
Location:
Titusville ~ 12 miles from launch site
Wow, you really filmed that with a Tamron lens? I just ordered the Tamron 75-300mm today and I really didn't expect that impressive of a zoom=p

I miss watching shuttles go up. That was really pretty.

As it went thru the clouds the lighting was just amazing and you zoomed in perfectly. Very impressed.

Duuuuude. When we were down in Florida on vacation, we almost got to see a shuttle launch... but it was canceled due to the weather. However that would have totally not compared to watching a night launch!! :D Freaking epic. Thanks for sharing so we could all enjoy it (should have brought a tripod) but considering it was a great shot!

Wow! That was pretty epic!
But probably just amazing below words when you're there, seeing it in person!
Where did it go at the end?
