The problem is not refined oil. Crude oil has far more toxins than the refined product you put in your engine. A lot of the dangerous chemicals like arsenic, benzyne etc are refined out before they ever hit the garage.

I have known a few people who say the same thing about industrial solvents who were fine for years, but later, paid the price for working with it. You play with some dangerous logic and I hope you don't learn the hard way like they did.

i,ve spent the last 10 years with oil and shit over my hands and face fixing trucks and i've never herd of problems like these. alot of old manchanics don't even wash their hands for lunch.

There is a non toxic alternative that the US EPA has denied the formal request for use from three state Senators, La DEQ three times, the Coast Guard sent a letter on July 10 2010 stating to the FOSC to take action with OSE II. The OSEI Corp. has performed 14 demonstration on the spill, and recently received a test report that stated OSE II remediated the Alkanes, and the PAH's equally. The EPA is attempting to stop OSE II again. OSE II has test substantiating the end point of CO2 & water
