Wilson Chan passed away in his sleep on November 30, 2010. He died of heart failure.
Wilson was born in Hong Kong in 1925. With his parents, younger sister & brother, he lived in Guangzhou, Singapore, and Hong Kong in his youth.
Wilson worked as an accountant in Hong Kong, in Wheelock Marden & Co until 1969 when he immigrated to the United States. Settling in San Francisco, Wilson worked in finance and accounting, first for the City then for the retailer Gumps, retiring in 1993.
Wilson is a passionate about reading, traveling, and keeping up with world events. His is not a man of many words, though he cares, in his quiet way, for his family.
Wilson is survived by wife Eva, daughter Winnie & son-in-law Eugene Lee, granddaughters Clarissa & Patricia Lee, son Kenneth & daughter-in-law Jennie Tsang, and granddaughter Adrienne.
Memorial service was held Saturday, December 18 at McAvoy Evergreen Mortuary in San Francisco, followed by interment at Olivet Memorial Park in Colma.
