Coach Tearse is the Minnesota Hockey Coach in Chief. Coach Tearse has 38 years of coaching experience. He has coached at all levels of youth hockey, Junior A and B hockey and college hockey. In addition to his coaching duties, he is the Coach in Chief for Minnesota Hockey, USA Hockey Associate Coach in Chief for the Minnesota District, and a regular speaker and development coach for the Minnesota and Great Plains Districts of USA Hockey coaching clinics and Select development camps. He is the owner of Edgework Power Skating schools. Coach Tearse has taken teams to 5 state titles at 3 levels of youth hockey and 5 teams to national tournaments at 4 different levels. In the fall of 2009 he will have ten former players competing as Division 1 college athletes and 6 players as division 3 college athletes.
