No matter where you are on the grounds of Longwood Gardens the views are spectacular. And although walking or strolling is the most common way to experience the gardens, the occasional horticulturally minded aviator might be sighted buzzing not far overhead as demonstrated in this touristy video snippet. Taking in the gardens from the sky rather than "up close and personal" is believed to lessen traffic on Route 1, as well as provide subject matter for novice videographers seeking to improve their zooming and panning skills. (Point of interest: Still life photographers such as the lovely shutterbug seen in this clip are fast becoming an icon of yesteryear at Longwood Gardens. Think how unlikely it would have been to suddenly capture the excitement of this small plane had one been focusing an unwieldy SLR on a banana leaf. And then, what if indeed it really had been a UFO?? (Don't miss the next gripping episode, "Longwood Gardens - Secret Squirrel Exposed, Poses in Repose")
