I need to stop reading all the comments! While I was saddened to hear that Bessie is gone, the fact that she lived to such a ripe age gives me hope that I have a few more years with my white shepherd Misty. Her hips have failed and she can't play frisbee anymore, but she has a huge teddy bear that she snuggles and cleans continuously (stinky! Washing doesn't help) and she is pampered and spoiled, deservedly so, I must say. Oh... and her favorite people food is olives, black or green!!

I ahve a white german shepard and the only thing he eats is MEAT! hahah we try to give him veggies but he plays with them so we get food that includes vegatables and protien.

Our husky did that too. He loved corn! That and popcorn and lettuce.

i know what you mean my german shepherd died when i was too well he died when he was only too he had a short life because in china someone poisned his food man i miss him but now im 11 and i have a white german shepherd i miss my old dog so much

Your dog is wonderful. I also had a white german shepherd and I miss him so much. I regret not having video of him, only photos. He also loved all kinds of plant food especially carrots, green beans and almonds. Thank you for this video.

Thanks for the post....My Wife and I miss Bess allot!!!...She was a great dog!! When we want to crack smile, we take a look at this video and think warm, happy thoughts about our friend...............

the worst thing you can do is feed your GSD corn. Their intestinal systems are not made to digest large amounts of carbohydrates and they can't process corn. It is also bad for his skin and makes them itchy which can cause other problems. do

Well, I appreciate your concerns, but, she lived for 14 years and ate all sorts of vegetables, meat, salsa, chips, stuffed jalapenos, and corn on the cob. She swam in the lake, loved to play Frisbee, and fetch a stick in the water. So, if corn is so bad and the average age of a shepherd is about 12 years??? She lived to 14 1/2 years, Then maybe we should re-think what's actually bad for them???

Yes She Was!!!!! Bessie made us laugh, and she LOVED her Frisbee.....and corn......
