This symposium is the collaborative effort of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and vascular specialists discussing how to effectively manage complex patients' health issues.

NEW THIS YEAR

The featured topic is Obesity and Heart Disease. CME and CEU credits will be awarded. There will be an off-air educational session preceding a one-hour live session to be viewed on WVIA-TV with a reception to follow. The live audience will consist of approximately 100 physicians, nurses, physician's assistants, and other health care professionals from the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area. In addition to the live audience, there will be a television broadcast to the community of Northeastern Pennsylvania as well as a recording of the event for future viewing on our website.

HISTORY

A number of conferences in Northeastern Pennsylvania during the past several years focused on the treatment of cardiovascular disease such as live presentations from catheterization labs and heart surgeon safety courses. These meetings provided continued medical education by bringing together clinicians from regional healthcare institutions.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

CATCH '10 is itself a convergence of these previous conferences and is designed to emphasize how specialists in Northeastern Pennsylvania can use the latest techniques, in a complimentary fashion, to provide superb cardiovascular care. This premiere learning event will help increase understanding of the scientific and clinical issues that contribute to improved in-patient care by doctors, nurses and allied health providers.
