All about profits
The insurance company will tell you your not covered when you are to make profits by avoiding payment
the Pharmaceuticals will push pills by paying Docs to prescribe them.
Hospitals will over charge if you do not have insurance.
if your Heath care system is based on profits it's guaranteed your going to get sick.
especially during times of economic slow downs .they will make sure your sick.
That's the real reason the Americans have the worse system.

I had to laugh when I watched SICKO: Moore was interviewing people in my very clinic. I can also vouch that that clinic is great and I have never waited more than an hour to see my doctor or a residence doctor (and after 20 years of going there, thats only happened once)

When both parties say the other is lying, they both probably are. But, you can simply look up the raw facts (You guys have the American Census Bureau, we have Statistics Canada, and most other countries have their own equivalent.) and see who is more full of sh*t than the other guy. (In this case, I could save you some work and tell you that it's the Repubs., but taking my word for it is no better than taking theirs.)
Don't decide based on who you like more; check the facts, then go with 'em.

Wait times are bad for elective procedures in Canada because people who need immediate care get put at the top of the list. If I'm waiting for an MRI and some guy gets hit by a bus and needs a brain scan, he goes first because I'm in a position where waiting won't kill me and he isn't. Period.

Besides, nearly half the doctors in North America come from overseas. Personally, I'd trust doctors trained in THEIR education systems more than our home-grown ones anyday.

But for some reason those same people have no problem handing out 5 to 10 times more money to private insurance companies in fees than they would pay in taxes to cover themselves and everyone else.

They fear government run 'death panels', but have no issue with the same when run by board members responsible only to their shareholders pocketbook instead of to the public interest at large.

If this is the 'American Dream', count me out, friends. Hope you enjoy it.

I paid $300 for an ambulance ride just last June. It's not covered under Saskatchewan's health coverage, but my boss reimbursed me.

$300 CANADIAN dollars.

I went to a hospital in Toronto, and i didn't have to pay. I just went in, they treated me, and I walked out on time to play soccer with my buddies down the street. Only thing that set me back was the parking change i had to put in. It was about $1.50, stupid universal healthcare. Can't even pay for my parking.

Just know deep down you got what you paid for!

AS USUAL - he finds the very minute things that may go wrong and BLOWS it up as if it happens once a day - when it happens once in 10 years!!!! He's just looking for some way to destroy a fairly good health care system. According to Moore - if it is not COMPLETELY PERFECT - then it should not exist!!!!!!!! So to should he films!!!!!!
