Ground Pink GarageBand Remastering

Ground Pink written by Stemage, http://www.metroidmetal.com/ , is one of my all time favorite instrumental songs. With a crazy fast 1st guitar part, this song stole my interest awfully quickly. I've been doing remasters in GarageBand for quite some time now, including a remaster of Chocolate rain, which at this moment is closing in on 30,000 views.

GarageBand has a midi import option that is the easiest way to remaster possible, which is how I did this one, and in around 4 hours all together. Quite different from the 9 hours I spent on Chocolate Rain. I had the midi on my computer for a long time and I got it from somewhere in the forums of Metroid Metal. (sorry for whoever did it, I would plug you but it was so long ago I don't remember who it was) If whoever wrote the midi can produce it for me I would be more than happy to give them credit, although I have heavily altered some of it and fixed some of the wrong drum beats. (I think...) I did most of the drum fixing from just listening to the original recording. (Stem, pretty close?)

I have to say that I hate GarageBand '08's guitar settings. Even with 4 or 5 JamPacks installed it was still impossible to mimic a real guitar to the perfection that some of the other instruments can achieve.

So there you have it. Another remastering in the bag. Hope you all enjoy it! It was the most fun I've had doing one in a while. Thanks Stem for an amazing song!

this sounds pretty good, but i know what you mean about dealing with the guitars. What instrument generator are you using? You can get it a lot closer than this, I just messed around for 5 mins with the sunburst elec. and an american gain amp, it sounds pretty close to the original.

very cool :). I like Stemage's other music (especially MM). This sounded a little different than the music on Strati, but it's still really good.
