About 3 or 4 years ago I built this Power Supply. I went to the lumber yard and bought some mahogany, however all they carried was 1inch thick stock and it was very expensive. The electronic power supply was a kit I bought on line. Now it supplies power to all 5 of my battery tube radios from the 1920's. The copper plate on the front is from an old 1920's Fada radio. I wanted it to fit in with my radio's.

  • Hi, Just restored a Kolster model 6D radio from 1926, I have a "B" Battery supply from about the same year. Want to keep every thing original. Using a RCA UX280 rect. tubes ect....

Do you have access to schematics to battery eliminators from the 1920's or any ideas how to find them ? My supply just fell apart in my hands when I took the cover off. Wires every where ..!

    Thank You

    Tony Beatrice

  • @TheTransoceanic Good luck my friend, I can only recommend watching ebay daily. If your eliminator is too far gone, you may consider gutting it out, and then installing a modern eliminator like the kit I built and installed in the cabinet I made. You could make your eliminator look great and work better than original. Good luck!
