Our Trip to Burg Eltz - Dad Storming the Castle (Noam Chomsky audio backdrop adds an interesting dimension to the clip)
Noam Chomsky is a world famous intellectual and his voice is applied to this video. In general, Chomsky analyzes and comments on governmental structures and the methods by which they obtain and hold their power (this is an extremely simplified bio sentence). His audio is applied out of context from the original speech but fits nicely in suggesting that while you admire the grandeur and beauty of these castles, one must remember that they were born out of a bleak period of western civilization -- feudalism.

@imacceptingbut Thanks for taking the time to comment. I can understand your point, but most of my videos are of a similar vein and probably tend not to be of interest to the majority. Nevertheless, I find it fun to create and publish them. An odd hobby I suppose. Hopefully you will find better videos in your continued YouTube searches...

@dpe4...thank you for doing that...but - in all honesty - I kind of ALWAYS thought that the commentary was a bit disjointed from the pictorial/video. I'm not suggesting that the commentary isn't important, mind you...I just didn't think it fit in well with the lovely pictures of this great castle.

Most people looking for castle pics don't want to listen to commentary about feudalism or surfs or shudder-traps the combine that time with our own.

Some do - but most don't.

Is the commentator (at the end) suggesting that MOST people can't visit this castle because they're a slave to his or her job and on a tight budget (which - by and large - world wide) would not allow travel to this locale?

Or maybe that's just what I translated....
