my final year project for Mechatronics Engineering. u place the potatoes (peeled or not) on the black conveyor, they fall and get punched by that huge pneumatic cylinder, cut potatoes fall into that swinging arm and get fried (that aluminum box is supposed to be a deep frier :p ) after a preset time when they are done, the arm lifts and drops the potatoes into the plate while that motor spins the salt grinder to salt it, finally u get a green light to collect the plate (Duh...) now the whole project could've been better with simple modification and sum final touches, like the swinging arm was supposed to stop in the middle to drop the excess oil and move a bit slower!! but we couldnt find that 3 position valve and the flow control valve was cheap shit and couldnt reduce the flow more than that. Anyway we passed and WE F*ING GRADUATED WHOOO. BTW that thing down was a PLC, we used it for control.

In rememberance of the times we spent in the garage drilling through the steel frame in hammer mode =)

  • hey can u tell me what r the components used to do this

  • @VINAYNAVALE1 1. two pneumatic cylinders, one must be with a big bore for more power when ramming against the blades, other is used for the swing arm

    2. pneumatic valves, we used two 3/2way valves, its better if u use a 5/3way closed center position for the swing arm instead cuz it allows u to stop the cylinder at mid stroke

    3. two electric motors, ours is taken from a truck windshield wiper cuz theyre 24V

    4. retro reflective sensor

    5. limit switches

    6. push buttons switches

  • @VINAYNAVALE1 7. aluminum sheet (for swing arm and other parts)

    8. steel cubic bars (for chassis)

    9. cutting blades

    10. pepper grinder

    11. sewing machine belt

    12. green light bulb

    13. rubber for conveyor belt

    14. releys and wires

    14. PLC for control, can be done with micro controller as well i guess

all i can remember right now...

  • Where can I buy this?

  • sorry pal, im not from USA, n i dont think shipping this thing is an option, build ur own machine ;)

  • glad u liked it :) well if u have any questions about it feel free to ask

oh well, probably im just shocked cuz im super extra lazy! lol (and im still not done with my final year project which is JUST a computer software)!

    but honestly, its brilliant!

    Godbless.

  • Where can I buy this machine?

  • wooooow!! this is just amazing mashalaa 3ab8arii =D

  • Ingenious :D

You gave me ideas man, thanks n__n

i'm a freshman in mechatronics engineering, hope i can do this as my final project too.
