No one makes a "swap kit" for the Z32 300zx. - Custom made motor mounts - Z32 Trans mount - Z32 transmission w/RB26 bellhousing - RB25 clutch slave cylinder - N/A Z32 clutch - RB26 flywheel - custom made (or no) front sway bar - Notched front subframe - RB26 oil pan (instead of RB25 stamped pan, but it works) w/AWD stuff hacked off and TIG welded shut - Standalone, such as PowerFC D-Jetro
...and so on.
Charlie parted his Z out about 2 years ago. I bought the parts.
@2010brandonf actually I didn't find a direct motor mount kit when I did a RB swap so yes I did that minor fab work similar to what you would have to do in a 240z swap. But I did that swap along time ago infact at that time I hardly knew what skyline was and thought 240sx were fwd so my favorite Nissan was the 300zx tt and the 240z.
So my first swap was a RB to a s14 if I remember right it was 2004?! or 2005 anyways non of my Nissan swaps were my car. We did that a 600hp Mustang to Dubai.
@2010brandonf Great I started rebuilding motors and doing minor fabrication when I was 14 but theres a difference between knowing how to mig weld carbon steel and make simple brackets and tig weld chromoly, aluminum and titanium as well as the thin sheet metal you find in cars without warping it. making simple brackets isn't that hard at all and thats not what I'm talking about I've done that before in a Cummings swap.
RB25 to a Z is a farily strait forward swap b/c the motors sizes.
@sidewayznut2009 i rebuilt engines you dumbass, and i can fabricate, when you get the experience of putting a RB25 in the engine bay of a 240z then maybe you can insult me, just cause im 19 doesnt mean i dont know what im talking about, you need to learn that old farts like you are getting taken out of this business cause the new day and age is electonics, and i know all of the new stuff including the old so im a better mechanic then you, im done fighting with you, i know my stuff
@sidewayznut2009 whats great about knowing and understanding how metal works is I can make my s13 awd and do it right not worry about paying someone bunch of money and worrying about it later on then since the convertibles are flimsy I can proceed to make the car more ridged starting by seem welding it then by adding structure just things I couldn't do before I knew how tig weld and make almost anything outta sheet metal and pipe.
your 19 that explains all. Your a noob a mechanics helper even if you work at Ford dealership not too surprising Ford took you and not Nissan. XD running a scanner and replacing an o2 sensor isn't really mechanic work. I love knowing how to fabricate anybody can swap a 240sx i've been doing other swaps since I was 16 with Mitsubishi and Honda I've done 3 sr20 s13s and a RB25 s14 and VERY easy strait forward. RB26 requires a little more work but I plan on keeping the awd.
@sidewayznut2009 i was born august 25 1991 so im 19 and i know, i know more about cars then you ever will, and you must have worked in low budget shops cause i never had to talk to the customers, i was to busy doing my work, i guess im spoiled cause i worked at ford not some half ass wanna be shop. but its funny i have friends like you who think they know how to do something but when it comes down to it my phone will be ringing so i can come fix what they fucked up haha, learn your shit boy
@2010brandonf lolz shut the fuck up noob working on them in a professional shop and knowing what your doing is called being a mechanic I didn't say I worked on them in my back yard dummy. I just said I was sick of customers I love working on my own stuff but customers were making me sick of working on all cars.
Your obviously 16 kid so quit bull shitting I know that because I was 16 once also.
Does anyone know what the wheels are?
