Ya know I think your right.....the box it came in said Rossi Wizard but after visiting the website it looks like the wizard doesnt come in a synthetic stock, just camo and wood. Oh well...we aren't planning on buying other barrels for it anyways. Thanks for pointing out the mistake I made in thinking i got a different model. I dont think my daughter will not want to hunt with it because its not a WIZARD!!!!!!

I bought it at Gander Mountain for $300 and then found it at Academy for $200...go figure!! I havent bought any other barrels (21 different calibers available) to see how well that works but I figure it will work just as well as the 243 I have. My opinion is....buy it.....at Academy.....with the $100 bucks you save buy a different scope and all should make a decent beginner level youth hunting rifle!!! Best of luck to you!!!

well my first initial thoughts were it looks cheaply made, but after I got it and got it out of the box i found it to be not as bad as I thought. First thing is the stock....the cheek piece on it is kinda high and bulky so I took it off and like it better without it. The receiver and barrel are well constructed and work just as well. The scope is a FM (Famous Maker) brand scope which I dont like...didnt sight in well at all...was only able to keep it to an 8" target..not a tight grouping scope!
