TVC Rajdhani given two more additional halts at Alappuzha and Kollam, 2 minutes each.

12432 does NZM KOTA non stop 458 km in 4.30 hrs, average 102 km/hr.

Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani does Vadodara - Kota (528 km) non-stop, which is one of the longest continuous run on the Indian Railways.

Also until July 1999, TVC Rajdhani had no intermediate passenger halts in its 986 km run between Vadodara and Hazrat Nizamuddin.

TVC Rajdhani runs thrice a week. 12431 departs TVC Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 12432 departs NZM Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

From July to October runs on the extended monsoon time table.

Usually a WDP3A locomotive hauls the train from TVC to Vadodara and then a WAP4 / WAP7 /WAP5 until Nizamuddin.

TVC Rajdhani is at a disadvantage on the Konkan route, since it is single track and the train apart from failing to maintain a consistent speed, has also to stop or slow down for crossings.

12431 covers 3149 km in 41.25 hrs (46.05 hrs Monsoon), average 78 km/hr and 17 halts.

12432 covers same distance in 42.05 hrs (46.30 hrs Monsoon), average 77 km/hr and same halts.

12431 departs TVC 19:15 and arrives NZM third day, 12:40 (17:20 Monsoon).

12432 departs NZM 11:00 and arrives TVC third day, 05:05 (09:30 Monsoon).
