For 2005 and newer Alpine head units: The KTP-445 amplifies the head unit power output, resulting in a 150 percent power increase over the original power from the head units built-in amplifier. ( http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/ktp-445/ )

  • "its about the size of an iPhone" Yeah riiiight... And the iPhone taste like an apple too?

  • so i have in my vw golf IV alpine CDE-W203Ri, front and rear set SPG-17CS(70w rms) and KTP-445. In my opinion its perfect because i fitted the amp under the 2din head unit and the sound is awesome.

  • Is this video supposed to impress me? I'm confused.

Just for the record, that Iphone is like an 1/8th the size of the PP, so you fail in your attempt to market the product for it's small size.. And the paper port trick was a joke. I can move more air with my 20 watt computer speakers, no kidding.

Bottom line... I've sold more Alpine product with my rookie vids than this noise.

  • @lionintu The peak's are per speaker channel, you don't add them up all together. Each speaker can handle 240 peak individually. This means that each speaker's getting 45 RMS, not 180 RMS. Hope this helps.

  • can it be bridged though? if willing void it

  • SO this AMP is BYPASSING your current Amp in the headunit, not adding to it, correct?

    just some calculations....

my HU has the typical Pioneer specs:

    RMS Power Output: 22 Watts

    Maximum Power: 50 Watts

    Built-in MOSFET50 amplifier (22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels)

    My 4 Alpine speakers are:

RMS Power Range : 80 Watts

    Peak Power Handling: 240 Watts

so in a comparison is it RMS (22x4) 88 vs. (45x4)180 RMS?? Appears pretty close to speaker's Peak. what happens if u go over the speaker's peak 240?

  • lol its about the size of 8 iphones...

  • @imxavier0033

He's talking about the width of the unit dumbass...

  • @norbinw Okay, But it was only 1 or 2 notches louder before distortion.

  • @zZZzzzSnooze2nd OFC ITS THE SAME, ITS AN AMPLIFIER not a sound enhancer. It is ok if you have 50W RMS speakers. the stock head unit amp is only 25-30W RMS, and that will sound ok but not great on a 50W speaker. meaning the speaker will get less power and wont sound that loud and that good. My friend has 50W alpine oval speakers mounted in the back and the stock head unit power only. It is ok till you hit a certain level of volume, but wont sound ok after that cuz not enough power from HU..

  • don't buy this, there is no difference in sound. I have the Alpine CDA-105 & it sounds about the same installed.
