VuhDo 101

This is the video I've made for my Guild, The Risen. I go over the basics of the healing addon VuhDo. I tried to keep it short and simple but it still ended up 10 minutes long! This is the first real video I've ever made so I hope it's turned out okay. The audio was recorded in Audacity and the video was produced in Sony Vegas Pro 9.

The background music is WoW's Crystalsong Forest, Terokkar Forest, and the last one is "Copper Mountain", a royalty free song from danosongs.com

The UI is custom by me and isn't available for download. Addons you can see are kgpanels, Chatter, Skada, Fubar, Sexymap, PoM tracker, Satrina's Buff Frames, EavesDrop, Bartender, DXE bossmod, PowerAuras and of course VuhDo.

My bar setup:
My bar color scheme is a bit complicated actually! First go to General - Indicators and choose "Bar Background: Solid" from the drop down list, and then click on More to change the texture, and then click on Edit. Once you're in the Bouquet, edit the "Flag: Always Solid" color to be the color you want.. like a light grey, and increase opacity. Then hit "back" and underneath for the Health Bar, choose "Generic-Solid" and hit edit. For this one you'll have to create a new copy since you can't edit it, so type in a new name and hit copy. Then edit the "[Statusbar: Health%5] to be a darker color, like black. Hit back, and then choose the name of the new copy you made from the drop down list. Then go to Panels - Bars, and choose that new copy name again in the Custom Settings dropdown. That should do it!

Thanks for the vid Sora... one question though... now with 4.0.1 and the new holy word mechanic for holy priests... is there a versatile spell tag that vuhdo can use to adapt the various incarnations of Holy Word?

Say I go into A PoH chakra state and have HW:S bound to a click... if I go into a renew state how do I get it so the same click doe HW:A?

Does that even make sense? hope you have an idea cause im stummped

@moritynz If you just use the spell "Holy Word: Chastise" it will change on its own based on the Chakra state, so just using one key/mouse bind should be fine. It gets a little weird with Sanctuary since it's a targeted AOE spell but you get used to it.

So patch 4.01 Dropped and Grid wasn't updated.

At a half hour before raid I downloaded Vuhdo. I LOVE IT! LOL I used Grid and clique since vanilla. (I actually made it so the boxes are set up like my grid lol)

Vuhdo has a Clique like interface standard but, it also has my favorite new thing target arrows in the boxes when you place a mouse over it for out of range people.

I hope they add a configureable low mana warning with sound(or does it already?)

I know this video is fairly old but how do you get the weakened soul icon instead of a generic symbol and how do you rid of the LFG dps, tank, healer icons? thanks.

where is the weaken soul debuff I can't seem to find it how do you set the color to green and slide down as there health goes down???

I have used Grid + Clique since The Burning Crusade, when I started healing. (Healbot was too bulky and I didn't like it much). After seeing your guide, I've installed Vuhdo & going to give it a go! It looks amazing. Thanks for this guide!

@draanexle Agreed there, love those giant wolfs, i used to play trolls and undeads awesome races, they need a new art design if you ask me.

Horde rases are very good compared to alliance ones if you ask me.

Orc, troll is two wonderful races with great race abilities for pve and pvp, undeads are mostly good in pvp.

I enjoy playing alliance sometimes aswell, but I dislike most of their mounts compared to horde lol.
