Free Gaza Rally at UCI Part 1

A rally and protest was held at UCI on Thursday January 9th 2008. Professor OConnell was among the speakers at the rally along with two student speakers who have had personal tragedies happen to their family members in Gaza. The rally was held in light and recent news of the killings in Gaza which now (As of Jan 14th 2009) has suprassed 1000 deaths and almost 5000 injured; with more than a fourth to a half being women and children. The protest afterwards circles around ring road. Instead of displaying the entire protest, I decided to create a bit of a montage of speakers and protesting.

In case some of the protesting chants are unclear, I have listed many of them below:
- Hey Hey, Ho Ho! The Occupation has got to go!
- Free, Free, Palestine!
-What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!
- 1 2 3 4 We dont want no racist war 5 6 7 8 Stop the killing stop the hate!
- Stop the killing, stop the crime, Israel out of Palestine!
