  • appaloosa42, stallions CAN be normal around each other. I was working with some top Lippizans in Hungary this summer, and they didn't go nuts when they saw each other at all... they were in boxes right beside each other, performing movements and all without a problem. They are also "controllable" around mares too. It doesn't take years and tough training to keep them "normal".

  • And it's not like if a stallion sees another it just runs up to it and fights till death. That is over the very attractive ♥Ladies♥. I mean, wouldn't it be a bit strange if two men saw each other on the street, then they would run at each other and fight till death? Queer...

  • Lol one horse on the right was tapdancing on the music :P

  • A moment once in a lifetime!!!!

  • @WickedWelsie if you let a stallions from his young years in a herd, he will learn only to jump on a mare when the mare wants to. That's how they need to 'train' stallions... And than any stallion would be 'controllable' around mares.

  • bellissimi ... quasi incredibili[iminent rb=anim][/rb]

  • @EveryonesQT A lot of money!! I think you can check it out on their sites... But the things you learn there are worth the money, that is my opnion right now. I mean, I haven't even been there.

  • Children, the fact is that it that it is more natural for a group of intact adult male horses to fight than not. That these are not doing so is a testament to nurture more than nature. Turn them all out in a 100 acre pasture and add 10 mares and you would have a bunch of crippled horses in less time than you would imagine. That said, I have seen stallions pastured together without mares in the winter season and things go fairly well if you do not count the occasional nasty bite.

  • The best school EVER......THE PORTUGUESE ..... ; )

  • It still brings a tear to my eye to see the start! I had front row seats and it was an honour to see all 4 classical schools riding together for the first time in history :) Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories of a dream come true :D

  • I wonder how much it costs to go to that school...

  • If only I rode as good as those 'imitators' did..Wow.. That would be fine with me. I've seen them both as well and respect ANYONE who can pull that off. I didn't get into Dressage by choice, but here I am -like trigonometry class- and I am trying.
