you can spin frontside off your toes or your heels. just like you can spin backside off your toes or heels(spinning BS off heels is ridiculously hard). depending on what position you leave the jump will determine your rotation.

I think its jsut the opposite. Carving on your toes implies backside.

carve on your toes at the last second and that will make it a fs rodeo, you are carving onto your heels causing the rotation to be wrong.
