WECC 1997 Cornwall Tour Part 5

West End Cricket Club: Cornwall 1997, part 5. Sunday and the game against Mount Hawke & Porthtowan. WECC took the early initiative by taking three top order batsmen for nought until their opener and number 5 ground out a commanding tally for the fourth wicket before petering out somewhat. For our reply we were kept in check a bit by some good bowling. A marvellous innings by Jason Walliker was encapsulated by his walking out into the middle - and walking all the way back off again without facing a ball. More than a Golden, we can tell you. WECC went on after early faltering to claim a win. And so back to the bar that we do so well....
