When Teresa passed away on May 8th, 1995, her family discovered these lyrics she was working on. Immediately, top talent in the music industry completed this work and the song was played at her wake and memorial. It is a fitting tribute to revisit this song today, May 8th, 2011, the 16th anniversary of Teresa's passing.

Dear Brother Jeremy,

Thank you so very very much for this. Precious Teresa Teng understood suffering, the sorrow and joy of the heart and soul, as well as any one who ever lived. This poem and song left this old Texas cowboy with tears streaming, heart moved beyond words. God bless Teresa Teng, the greatest singer of all times. God bless her legacy, sweet humble spirit, matchless beauty, elegance, charm, angelic care for others. May we all find inspiration to follow her example. Blessings..

Thank you for your comment. This year, it's really strange. May 8th, 2011 is also mother's day. So I posted Teresa's song, "A mother's heart" as well. Two days later, I heard that an American Chinese fan of Teresa's who's become a good friend of mine through youtube, passed away on May 8th. He had been battling cancer for some months. In his youth he had had the opportunity to attend a dinner in Teresa's honour given by SB where his dad worked. He became a die-hard fan.

It's so difficult to express with words what we feel in our heart of this great singer and beautiful human being......her heavenly voice, her genuine smile, her big eyes, her angel's face, her touching expression when sing a sad song will be in our memory forever.....we love you TT forever!!
