The race is on to break the latest news on what may be the biggest celebrity gossip story ever, but do we really need to see "the last photos" of the pop icon?

OK! allegedly paid $500,000 for the cover picture you see below.

While covering Jackson's tragic death is unavoidable, would a tribute such as the commemorative covers released by Entertainment Weekly be more appropriate?

The photo was taken by photographer Ben Evenstad of National Photo Group an he knows Michael Jackson personally, also Brian Oxman (Joe Jackson attorney) confirmed the picture was a fake. This is no big deal. They publish people dead all the time on CNN News on other people and other stars on magazine covers. From what I heard they published John F Kenndy photo's when he died and he was our president. MJ was a dope head and he has only himself to blame. No body forced him to to drugs.

Thats just sick of OK magazine to spend millions on that picture. I will NOT buy it. I bought two other magazines that gave him great tributes and put pictures on the front of the Michael we want and should remeber: the TALENTED performer that he was. OK magazine: SHAME ON U

it's not creepy or weird at all..he looks like he's in full makeup..doesn't even look sick or dead..so big deal!! he shouldn't have been an addict..he was raised a Jehovah's Witness then switched to Islam,,and both teach against using drugs
