they talk about having electricity, so some of them may have light at night. and if not, i'm sure there are candles. but this would save money because a lot of these people are in the slums, or at least at extreme ends of poverty. it's not perfect, but it's still brilliant.

For those of you talking about using this in a 1st world country, We've had the technology for a long time already. They're generally called a light tube, sun pipe, or tubular daylighting device. It's a small clear dome on the roof connected to a highly reflective tube in the attic that mounts to a light spreading reflector in the ceiling.

its also a idea for first world countries. make is look nice. Like a bowl shaped class/ plexi glass at the top. with water. boom! there you have light for the day. You'd save so much energy!
