Nature's quiet.

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion". ( Henry David Thoreau, *Walden*)

  • Yes, I must admit...."quiet" is a very important commodity....one which is extremely useful and quite valuable.

  • @iris2iris1 ..... *Quiet* truly allows us to process and reflect more clearly. I agree, there is huge value in taking a quiet walk in the woods, and in enjoying a quiet seat by the water.... Personally, I crave this simple peaceful expression...

  • Wow... This video makes me dream ... I want to walk on these beautiful roads ...

    Very nice video... The music you used is perfect. Congratulations, Starrynight003 :-)

  • Smile, Ame.....I have walked on some these roads/paths.....really beautiful! I'm happy that you enjoyed the music paired with these images! Thanks so much! :)

  • What a beautiful, beautiful video! Thanks so much for providing such a lovely place to get lost in for a while...

  • Smile......thank you so much mnnorthcountrygirl1. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this video. Happily some of these photos were taken in places where I do get lost for a while....it's very nice to know that others find these places as compelling as I. :-}

  • The beauty you share always seems to get to me where it counts. smile xo

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely video. "Quiet"....yes, this is exactly what I need after a hectic holiday season....when there is so much hustle & bustle that even the familiar sound of birds chirping takes on the feel of a Hitchcock movie. This serene video reminds me of a dear friend who has shared with me stories of her youth hiking in New Hampshire, cooling off in the summer with a dip in Walden Pond, & continuing to commune with nature with weekly walks in a preserved urban treasure.

  • Me and my mom have a house in a small town in central kentucky. We are both elders. We sit. Feed birds and cats and watch the rest of the world go by. Beauty haunts us every where we look, and sense and feel. We live in the great divine. Ain't life grand!

  • A gracious thank you.....I'm delighted that you enjoyed this video! :)

  • Beautiful video, starry.

  • Thanks so much MCF! I'm happy to know that you enjoyed this vid....(it gave me the opportunity to actually use some of my own photos which was fun). Yup, get yourself to that guitar lesson! :)
