Testing the Hague MMC with the Panasonic GF1

Steadicam calibration was really a breeze, It took me about 5min to get the proper weight and only seconds to mount it on with proper balance :-)

20mm lens on manual focus. Converted from MTS to WMV using Windows Live Movie Maker in 720p format.

Original File size was 99MB

This is my first DSLR (previously had a superzoom camera Canon SX1 IS). I am truly amazed at the low light video performance and the video quality/file footprint.

More info about the Steadicam used here: http://vimeo.com/groups/sx1/forumthread:4288

  • Hmm, I have the GF1, and just bought the Hague MMC - but I can't seem to get it stabilized. Always tints to one side, or wobbles alot. How did you stabilize it?

  • @ZamolRos Please watch Hague tutorial posted on Vimeo.com. It's fairly easy, just have to move the weight around or add/remove some.

  • whats with the screen tearing? or is that just youtube's fault

  • @AshKilamande utube ya

  • @MrPlaystationboy

That would only make it look abnormal...

  • You should mirror the video in windows movie maker to make it look normal

  • looks a little wobbly, my Cam Caddie seems to get superior results with my DSLR attached and sometimes I attach lights to the top and it doesn't effect the smooth movements.

  • 0:20 ...r u dancing...

  • I wanna buy that!!! There is avialible one the stores???

  • as steady as you want it, and to think this is achieved with no IS (image stabilization) pretty impressive.

  • damn ... the GF1 seems far more stable even handheld than the NEX 5 ...

  • Good... someone actually doing a demo that matters to us on this planet! Thanks I find this very useful and will look into this accessory!
