My LEGO 9V train models of DB ICE 3 and Eurostar on a double track long curve layout. Please see my other videos for more on the individual models. Thanks again to James Mathis for the core designs on which both of my designs are based. Enjoy!

  • You should try to make the Eurostar in it's full lengh.

  • @UraeusAnkhAmon Thanks for your suggestion. I have indeed thought about this, but the problem is that a full Eurostar trainset is 2 locomotives + 18 wagons, meaning the LEGO model (at my present scale) would be some 6 m long, which would unfortunately be both difficult to power effectively (i.e., many motors needed) and actually use on all but the largest of layouts. I do plan on expanding my Eurostar to the length of the ICE3/TGV, which would be about half length (2 locomotives + 9 wagons).

  • @UraeusAnkhAmon Alternatively, I may just decide to build a new model of the announced Eurostar e320. : )

  • Very impressive LEGO trains! You are a genius!

Are the headlights/taillights LEDs added by yourself?

  • @dbdrdbag Thanks for your kind comments!

The headlights and taillights on the ICE 3 are LEGO light brick pieces (white) that are connected via the electric system to the 9V motor. All of my models use only LEGO parts, but I'm sure interesting results could be achieved with customization.

LEGO now makes a pair of LED lights as part of the Power Functions system. Although this part didn't exist when I made the ICE 3, I have used the LED lights in other models with great results. Cheers!

  • OMFG!! THIS IS SO AWSOME You should make them race each other....

  • @kebabuk New video with my TGV and ICE 3 racing is up! Thanks for your patience. :)

  • @Godzillafan541 By having a job and paying for them after saving up, plus lego trains are not expencive at all. your income must be really low.

  • i love legos

  • How do you afford all these lego Trains? I looked up some on the lego.com and they were really expensive
