Harrisburg PA 10/8/09: Newly appointed Deputy of Agriculture Secretary and former York County Commissioner Doug Kilgore ran the Ag Preservation Board meeting for acting Ag Secretary Russell Redding. The budget does have spending authority, and 69 farms were preserved this day.
Also, Dauphin County amended their rural enterprise criteria.
Next, Lancaster County transferred ownership of a farm to the State of PA.
Finally, a Chester County subdivision was tabled pending answers to board questions.
