@TheMahonj Yeah, you're right. I mean, Cronos doesn't look like the type of guy to take anything seriously. Love both bands though, saw Manowar live twice and I'd love to see Venom live also.

@Highlander01 I'm a huge fan of both bands too. I wouldn't take this interview very seriously. Cronos and the guys liked to make fun of every single metal band in the 80's, including their own band. Venom were basically just trolling the whole metal community every chance they got.

The irony of this interview is, is that Venom want "more breasts" and "tits, tits, tits" at their shows. Manowar have nude women on stage and the majority of their songs are about raping women etc....not very homosexual, I'd say. Yet Venom have the audacity to sit their and brand the four members of Manowar as "homosexuals". It's paradoxical, really. Manowar carry an unfair stigma as the "gayest" band in heavy metal, yet in truth they are probably the most hetrosexual heavy metal band.

What a shame. I like both bands (Manowar more than Venom) but its a shame Venom have to join the long line of ignorant bands who seem to dislike Manowar. Mind you this "interview" was 1984, so Venom's opinion may have (hopefully) changed. Manowar have made awesome metal for 30+ years and they put on one hell of a show, plus I've personally been phoned by Mr. Demaio (not many bands would phone their fans). It's a shame so many misconceive Manowar. Still, Venom rules!
