Made this bass track for a collab I did a few months back. I thought I'd sharpen my chroma keying skills on this poor lighted blue screen background video track I did, and post it as a bass only cover.
The audio backing track is the one I used to record bass for my collab, that is Marzl's ( http://www.youtube.com/user/Marzl#p/a/u/1/odlOIbi3E80 ) drum track played over the original Deep Purple tune.
There's a cut just before the guitar solo. This video is actually made from two different shots. I recorded two takes, took the beginning of the second recording, and the end of the first take. Made the cut in that part just before the guitar solo as I'm not playing bass in that part. Batteries went dead on the camera during the third take, so I decided to use half of both first takes instead of recharging the battery and record more takes later. Call me lazy.
I used a youtube video named "Cool Animated Car Race" for video background http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uiz7pfuCayM
My version of the race is choppy as my software has problems with the mp4s extracted from youtube, and I was too lazy to convert it with another software first, and work with that file. Here's the laziness again...
Great vid.My bands gonna be learning this track so will use your vid for inspiration/guidance.Thanks.

@ColonelBuckshot It just takes longer to memorize :)

To avoid the jump cut, you should use a cutaway cut from the race video (ie, cut to a shot of the cars racing w/o you in it, then cut back to race video and you when you start playing again.)
other then that, good work :)

@Krieghandt Good point, could have used the backing video to camouflage the cut.
