Dave looks a bit like Angus Young.
-
@TheSkinParade No, Dave was funny back then
-
classic dave? It's pretty much exactly the same as now lol

@jimmbo13 there's no applause signs. you are brought into this dance hall to stand in line in the order you are seated and wait a while before you get into the theater. Towards the moment you head in, the interns come by and literally DRiLL you on what to do and what not to do during the show like its some kind of boot camp. What to do: Laugh and clap at every joke even if you don't get it or find it funny. What not to do: Basically any natural human response to what's going on.
-
@GD29 How does that work...is it just applause signs they light up or what?
-
@tremer88 i guess that's what led today's letterman interns into forcing the audience to laugh at ALL of dave's jokes...i went to see the monday taping on the week of the recent christmas so i would know...apparently, dave can only bring the goods with a revved-up audience....i honestly found it uncomfortable and only laughed at things i found funny...

@jimmbo13 I'd beg to differ...while its amusing to see this very cranky Dave, there's hardly any energy coming out...more like a worn-out but forced-cuz-you're-on-tv demeanor....Dave still has his energetic moments today...

@djbattman Anton fig has actually been with Letterman since like 1986....he's drumming in this video....11:30 is a grand time in late night so they just wanted to match the theme with that....
-
How can this theme be miles better than anything today!?
-
tough crowd........amazing host!
From New York, where giant 12-foot roosters cluck through the streets; pecking innocent citizens who live in second-story apartments!

Compare this energetic, acerbic, unscripted Dave to the tired, meek Dave of today.....kind of sad
