I tried something different on this one. I have a digital camera by my side, and my hi-def Cannon down range. I put the Cannon 70 yards away from the target, and backed up to the 1,400 yard hill. I have a sucky editing program so from the time I pull the trigger till when the bullet impacts is not accurate. I was going to do a split-screen type, but again I have a sucky editing program.

  • Is this the load you used?

    200 GR. SFT SP Hodgdon H4831 .308" 2.790" 63.0 2678 56,000 PSI 66.5C 2802 63,700 PSI

  • @MrNastytater

    no.

    Handload info:

    Bullet: Berger 210 VLD

    Case: Norma

    Powder: 65.5 grains of H4831SC

    Primer: Remington 9.5 M

    COAL: 2.98

  • @MrNastytater i was planning on building a remington 700 in 300 swm I was just wondering if i should get a muzzel break?

  • @thuan123red

It depends on how heavy of a barrel you decide on using. I thought about putting a Badger Ordinance FTE on mine, but the recoil is almost like a 308 as it is now. The draw back to a muzzle break is it can mess w/ harmonics and effect accuracy.

  • You are running 2900 fps? What powder and primer configuration are you using, what length are you trimming your brass and what is your OAL? I handload for my short with a 200 gr accubond and I'm only getting 2712 with win brass, fed215 and imr 7828 at 67.5 gr of powder.

  • @graykilla

    Norma brass

I trim the brass to factory spec after 3-4 firings

2.98" coal "long lead, I have a long action" Bullet is touching lands

    65.5 grns H4831sc

    Remmy 9.5M primers

    Out of a Shilen #7 @ 23.5" long 1-10"

  • @thuan123red I'm sorry, but if it's tips on building a rifle you need, then your asking the wrong person...I do not have an answer for ya.

  • очень хорошо заметно неправильное удержание.

подработка большим пальцем правой руки, во время выстрела.

  • The 300 wsm is quite capable at 1400 yards. The rifle seems to have some inconsistencies. Think you would have faired better with a 26 or 28" tube and a break. Pretty fast shooting though, nice.

  • @diderr01 10-4....Thanks for the load data my friend...I may have to try some of the info you provided but I'm going to have to play around with it a bit...I don't have the Norma cases or the Berger bullets. But I believe I can improvise.

  • Great shooting.. I have a 300wsm.. I shoot the 208amax. I have not tried the bergers. You have about 400 yards on me. Good video.
