Here is an update on this event. It has turned into much more than just a ride to a 9/11 ceremony. The time table remains basically the same except for a possible escort to the USS Midway. The original mission is below this update. Please read below, if this doesn't pull at your heart strings, nothing will.

Ernest (Ernie) Mulvey, 49, from Lake Elsinore, CA served in the Air Force for 6 years and the Army for 10 years with two tours in Iraq, and is currently active duty reserve. SSgt Mulvey has been diagnosed with ALS, confined to a wheel chair, is no longer able to speak, and communicates by blinking.

Ernest realizes his mortal days on earth are short! His dream........is to take his family to San Diego to show them the beach and also to show them the museums and the history related to our nations military history. He hopes, that spending this final family vacation will create lasting and loving memories for his daughters to look back on as a precious time with their father
.
Shersy Benson with the Dream Foundation, along with the Wounded Warrior Project have stepped up in a big way to make Ernie's
final dreams into reality. The Dream Foundation is supplying Ernie's family with oceanfront condo's, transportation, theme park tickets and along with the Wounded Warrior Project something that really seemed to move Ernest.... the USS Midway Memorial.

Shersy has asked us to provide Ernie and his family with some escorts to honor him and his family. And, it is with great admiration and respect for this veteran that we accept this invitation.

I know there are a lot of other 9/11 events going on, none more important than this. Lets try to have a good showing for Ernie and his family.
