Thornbury Trees - The Glebe Field Sycamore, part 2

What IS happening to the trees in Thornbury? This is the second half of the video report about the Glebe Field Sycamore.

This case is suspicious. Especially these matters:-
part one
1. There having been a website set up solely to justify the tree's removal 02:35
2. The similar wording used by consultant and council tree officer 04:39
part two
3. The unnamed individual who supported the tree felling, because the owner had a "duty of care" to the public 01:37
4. The vicar who was quoted in the press as saying that the owner had a "duty of care" to the public 02:07
5. The consultant's covering letter, which assumes that the tree will be felled 02:30
6. The church had held events in Glebe Field, despite the presence of a supposedly dangerous tree 04:30

It looks like I'm not a nutter after all. Here is an objector to South Gloucestershire Council's Core Strategy who includes a bitter comment about trees in Glebe Field.
