A Los Angeles federal judge has delayed the sentencing of a Missouri mother for her role in a MySpace hoax directed at a 13-year-old neighbor girl who ended up committing suicide. Sentencing for Lori Drew was rescheduled to July 2. (May 18)
What kind of human would do that to a vulnerable teenager? In my world she would be put in front of a firing squad. Really, she needs to get what she gave. This woman is an evil sociopath hiding behind amongst us and she has been outed. She needs to be punished severely.
Your "Inherent" first amendment right goes out the window the moment you abuse it in order to cause someone harm. You can say anything you want. But you also have the "inherent" responsibility to face consequences for what you say. This case isn't about her 1st amendment rights anyway. The judge didn't say she wasn't wrong - he didn't want to set a particular legal precedent. Just watch and wait. Lori Drew is going to eventually have to pay for what she did.
Mrs Drew did nothing that would warrant criminal charges or a lawsuit.
What did Mrs Drew do? Well, she accessed a website under a false name. That's not illegal and not a cause for a lawsuit. I can go down the street giving a fake name to everyone I meet, but no one could sue me for it.
You can't just sue because your feeling get hurt, jackass.
I have an INHERENT 1st amendment right to tell anyone I want, under whatever name I want, that I believe the world would be better off without them
Malice? Well that cunt Megan Meiers showed malice by sending slanderous e-mails accusing Lori Drew's daughter's of being lesbians (which BTW, would form the basis of a wonderful libel counter-suit, since Megan's parents are 100% responsible for their underage daughter's slanderous communication).
In order for a suit to work, they would have to have a cause of action.

A civil suit won't hit shit, retard.
What legal cause of action does the family have?
Negligence? Their own, maybe.
