Martin D'arcy (PGA) Club Professional at Knockanally Golf Club shows how to correctly repair a pitch mark on the golf green.

A pitch mark (often mistakingly referred to as a divot) is an indentation in the golf green caused by the ball landing on it, usually from a high approach shot.

It repaired correctly, a pitch mark will be invisible the following day, otherwise it can leave a mark that could take 3 weeks to recover!
