i love this song. i just love the calmness of everything about blue rodeo. does someone mind telling me the meaning of this song? i've heard it so many times, but i still dont know the meaning. thanks

@justify1995 This explaination was posted on a fansite: "Jim wrote this song as a collaboration of a few stories...one being him and his wife meeting in a shelter during a hurricane, the other being a time when Blue Rodeo was in New Zealand, and they took a day to visit the beach. Their soundman, Kenny, grabbed a stick and wrote his name in the sand. When Jim asked him about it, he said he does this everytime he's at a beach as a ritual...its basically an honor and connection with his wife."

@slugg63 haha, yeah I noticed on other posts the guitar solo was a hot topic. I think the rawness of the solo is what makes it unique and gives it character.
