I personally am glad that Bulldozer is selling out. The 8150 is a better value than the 990x.

People can hate on AMD for not being up to standards with the 2500k,2600k

Yet the same people keep their mouths shut in the $1,000 i7 990x debate in which Bulldozer is such a better value it aint even funny.

Um...you do realize that the same people wouldn't even try to defend it, right? The 990X (actually, it's all about the 39xx series now) is faster, no doubt, but only worthwhile if you need serious multithreaded performance. Sure, it splatters Bulldozer and the i7 2600k. So? Nobody is trying to compare them. You're really grasping at straws. Bulldozer sucks. Deal with it.

@dlee7283 Intel 6 cores CPUs are in other performance league and price! But if you compare a i7-2600k system to an FX-8150 system, you will spend almost the same amount of money (a liitle bit more on the i7), but i7-2600k will rock so much against FX-8150. Trust me. FX-8150 it´s a FAIL.

What's wrong with the bulldozer? Benchmarks have turned out that the bulldozer is actually significantly better at doing high-precision calculations. It just depends on what you do with your computer. I am thinking of buying a bulldozer at the moment, seems like a purchase well worth the money so far. I'm not done searching for information yet, but thus far it seems very good.

@Anamegoesrighthere I am all about price/performance, while you do make some claims that are quite poignant, I still think the 8150 is good if its under the correct pricepoint, which it can be had with a 970 motherboard at Microcenter for $199.
