"Fearing Much" is from an album that is widely recognised in certain circles as one of the best albums within the exotic genre of "Library Music". I'm talking about the 1975 album "Feelings" by Italian composer Stefano Torossi. If you see a copy of this album on vinyl just get it, whether it's on Conroy, Constanza or - most rarely - the Italian label Carosello. "Feelings" has been reissued on cd as well and I'm currently working on getting hold of a copy. You'll find the most awesome string arrangements here, mixed with a lush horn section that makes this album a funky lounge classic on the same level as Cal Tjader's "The Prophet".
The cover art shown here is alternative to the cover shown in my other Torossi upload - Feeling Tense - and it if you are confused by the names Jay Richford and Gary Stevan the explanation is fairly simple. This issue was released under these pseudonyms probably for reasons that had to do with money, something that seems to be quite common for library music records. Well, that only adds to the excitement of collecting them.
