IT TURNS OUT THE BRACES WERE ON WRONG! They don't rub now!

If you've been watching my videos for a while now, you'll know I have videos of her when she was just starting to walk. (At two and a half years old) So it's gotten to the point where she gets around Wal-Mart and her School just fine. She just walks differently than everyone else. Not a big deal. If you go back to my oldest videos, you will see videos of her when she was just 3 pounds and 7 weeks premature. Things have come a LONG way.

not much to say really. You'll just have to watch the video

  • Aww so cute!! What exactly do the braces do for her legs? She is soo cute!

  • @oreomonster5571 they keep her legs from hyper extending. Sometimes it looks like her legs are going to snap because she is able to push them back. You and I can't, because our legs simply lock before bending back that far. but thank you for the comment. she's really gonna enjoy reading comments like yours some day

  • some tips from someone who has wore afo/kafo braces since birth and is also an ortho tech... just cut the velcro your self to adjust it... it really simple, just take the scissors and CUT it. No more issue with it catching on anything. however talk to your ortho, that design should of never been used. i hate how so many drs now days use lil kids for there ortho"ginny pigs" it only cost the insurance and parents more money.

  • @njparis it turns out that we had them on backwards or something. They don't do that anymore.

  • I rememeber having to wear these as a child. Didn't have CP I just had really knobby knees. I can remember the doctor parting my legs on the stretcher at the hospital and how much it hurt. I hated the braces so much because I had to walk around like Frankenstein. I would cry so my mom would have me put them on before bed. As soon as I got old (or smart) enough I would take them off in the middle of the night. As an adult I kinda wish I hadn't done that. I'm still knobby kneed, just not as much.

  • @u2good2b4gotn yeah, sometimes she cooperates, but sometimes she doesn't.... And makes it kind of difficult. she is getting new ones, because these fall down and don't stay in the same position. They fall and then they don't hinge correctly. Plus there so high up, that using the bathroom is a hassle.
