You know, there are quite a bit of similarities between NGE and The Wall.
A passive protagonist, with one missing parent, and a manipulative other, forced into a world that causes him to commit soul crushing actions due to a damaged sense of self worth, a love interest that ends up heartbreaking. Also, he withdrawing into his own mind for comfort, shut off from the rest of the world. Plus, Mind Screw, and Nightmare Fuel. I may never at both works the same way again, and that's saying something.

@hotelmario510 Hey just found I didn't reply to this comment.Things are much better now as i learned to accept myself completely. There are still moments when i lie on bed and stare at the ceiling...but things have improved a ton. I used to be like Shinji..but now I'm more like Arima from Kare Kano.

@Elwood1992 I can see you are a true Pink Floyd fan. I am glad that you aren't one of those people who just hate drugs for no particular reason.

@2603212 No, I'm just sick an tired of all these people who think they understand Pink Floyd because they listened to it while on drugs. What I'm trying to say is that being high is not a requirement to understand it. To understand this music you simply need to be a breathing, feeling human being who is able to think critically. This music isn't written to give you a mind blowing trip (although it is capable of that), but to get you to think about certain things.

@Elwood1992 It seems as though you have never experienced it that way.

@alexwilligs99 Yeah, I like it.
I cried the first time I saw this video.

You shouldn't listen to Pink Floyd while you're on drugs, you'll miss a lot...
It was never meant to be listened to in that way to begin with.
