Tony Clifton Attacks Jim Carrey at Press Conference

This footage was taken from a rare dvd called "The Tony Clifton Movie", a collection of Tony's home movies of which there are only 500 copies on DVD.

JIm Carrey states he had no idea the Tony was going to show up. It is likely that he really didn't have any idea that he would crash the party, but realising the event was in a since a joke, Jim Carrey was very quick to act and make the best of the situation.

It's thought by many that during this incident, it is really Bob Zmuda playing Tony.

My general veiw is that Zmuda just wanted to surprise Jim Carrey with a little visit from Tony Clifton, and once Jim and Zmuda got into it, they just couldn't help themselves.

I don't know. The way Jim picked up that chair... I've seen many people pick up a chair that way, and they were serious. But I'm sure this was staged, they are professional, after all.

@SteveJawbs My friend why are u putting words in my mouth?Where did u see that I claimed I know it.It just a theory based on my researching Kaufman.When he worked on his pranks he was doing it to amuse himself and whomever was in on it.The rest of us most of the time didn't have a clue wtf is going on.He's most likely dead but from all the dead stars supposed to be alive like Elvis,2Pack,MJ.or Bruce Lee and so and so,Kaufman is the one whom most likely could pulled it off Merry Christmas Friend

He's dead man, he wouldn't have waited so long to come back if he wasn't; the new generation doesn't even know about Andy Kaufman, even with Man on the Moon he's pretty obscure to today's younger ones. If he came back now, his impact would've have been as big as it could've been - he knows better than to do that.

But the real fucked up thing is that wasn't Bob Zmuda but it was actually Andy Kaufman because the greatest scheme he pulled off is that he made everyone including his own family believe he died and he and the 5 or 6 others who are in on it having the greatest time of their lives.I'm pretty sure Carrey is one of the one is in on it and knows Kaufman is alive.And if ppl don't believe it research Kaufman has been setting it up for decades the perfect"Joke"and 1 day he'll shows up on Leno u'll see
