  • Note how 6/25/2009 in his blog Len says he's like to tell president Too many people have to put off or never get recommended screenings for cancer because they simply cant afford or dont have health insurance that covers them. Yet Len doesnt care if middle-aged men choose never to be screened for PCa and risk ending up with incurable disease and huge medical costs. . Check out prostate basics at PSA Rising and join a PCa mailing list (links there).

  • LL says PSA test finds prostate cance but no good ways to know for sure how dangerous that cancer is. "So most men diagnosed with prostate cancer are going to get treated whether they need it or not." No. If detected, PSA velocity, digital exam & biopsy Gleason score can tell how aggressive. For early + /or slow-growing, ask docs re: lifestyle improvements, prevention drug e.g. finasteride, Active Surveillance. If more aggressive, do your homework and decide.
