Catching Mesprit with an Ultra Ball(Not on first try)

Myself catching Mesprit. This video has much better quality than the last one, however, it is a bit crooked.
Here are the steps to find Mesprit:
1) After battling Dialga/Palkia in Spear Pillar, head to Lake Verity. It is where you met your starter. Surf to the island and go inside the cave. *NOTE: If you want specific nature/IVs for Mesprit, Save before talking to it. Once you talk to it, it will flee.
2) Mesprit is now in the wild, so you must use the Marking Map application to track it. It can be found in Jubilife city.
3) Get a pokemon that can battle it. You need a fast Mean looker or Blocker. I would advise on using Murkrow, since he is fast and learns mean look. Train it up to level 49, and I would advise EV training it in speed(this can easily be done by battling the second fisherman from the right in the route left of Eterna. He only has Magikarp, each giving 1 speed EV). Murkrow is immune to Confusion, so all you need to worry about is Future Sight. Other good ones are Misdreavus and Haunter/Gengar. Bronzong could also work, but you need one with a high level to outspeed Mesprit.
4)Encounter Mesprit. He moves an adjacent route each time you switch routes, so you need some luck to be on the same route as him. Once you are in the same route, SAVE in case you KO it. You can then use repel if your lead pokemon is below L.49 to ensure the encounter.
5) Use your trapping move first(Unless you use Wobbufet, who traps it instantly). Proceed to weaken it, And put it to SLEEP or PARALYZE. Don`t Burn, poison, or confuse it, as it will die. Set damage moves like Night Shade also work, but False swipe is easily the best. Use Ultra balls, but Dusk balls also work at night. Good luck catching it, as I had many failed attempts in which it KO`ed itself with struggle after using all of its moves.

it sounds like u have pmon diamond but nevertheless i used mi HAUNTER against mespirit and then it fainted...the mespirit i mean.

i now i cant find it on the marking map! it isnt blinking anywhere. wat can i do to get it back!!!

Legendary pokemon can only be fought once, if you kill it and save its gone for good. I would advise you to restart your file as you won't be able to acquire them again.

okay question did you just have to get your Murkrow's speed higher than Mesprit's to catch it? I have one at level 41 right now and Mesprit feels before I can use mean look.

Yes, your Murkrow(or whoever starts) needs to be able to outspeed. I recommend you EV train it in speed and raise it to level 49 so you can use REPEL to avoid all encounters BUT mesprit.

i got uxie and azelf easily with dusk balls. I GOT UXIE WITH THE DUSK BALL AT FULL HEALTH!!! and azelf was a little harder with its nasty plot and KOed my dialga

ok well i have not yet seen mesprit in the cave and i did rescue the trio so i dont know what im doing i already caught the other 2 and also cresselia so all i need is mesprit plz help!
