  • LOL, Clinton raised taxes, the economy tumbled, conservative Republicans led by Newt Gingrich took Congress, cut the budget, cut taxes (with Clinton on board as he read the tea leaves), and the economy recovered. Oregon really screwed up by not electing Dudley.

  • Didi tax cuts lead to unemployment when Clinton increased them? NO it created jobs at a record pace. Did tax cuts Increase jobs when Reagan was in office? No, that's why he broke his promise to not increase taxes and then after he raised them and used the money jobs increase. dito for the first Bush! Did the exact same tax cuts for the second Bush cause jobs to grow? NO!!! It was a record cut for the rich and jobs decreased at a record pace! That is history! We don't learn from history.

  • It's hard to argue against someone who has no understanding of economics... Government jobs are NEVER productive jobs, they are drains on the system and nothing else.

Oregon has one of the highest minimum wages in the country... and what follows it? High unemployment. No kidding. There is literally NO debate about amoung economists about the consequences setting a price floor on labor. What do you get every time? Unemployment and black markets.

    QQ l2p, oregon noobs
