What bored IB Physics Students do...

This was in IB Physics, the day before winter break. We finished our spring lab before class ended, and thus tried to blow the weights so that they would stand still. It's actually alot of fun, unless your head begins to hurt...we look like a bunch of nerds!
Now I'm wondering why this video didn't show up when I looked up "Rowland High School," when I put Rowland High School in the tags, but not the description. So now that it's in the description, if it shows up in a youtube search, does that mean tags don't really matter anymore for searches? In which case, why do they still have them? Strange....

Hey hey! PG15 from JM's blog here. I was in IB as well, and I sooo understand what this is about. Lol.

By the way, did this ever work? I ask because it seems to be physically impossible. If the weights have enough rotational energy to roll INTO the orientation of the slot facing down, then it has enough energy to roll out of it; conservation of energy and all that.

I talked with my friend (the guy who's blowing on it first), who said "Yes it actually works because a segment of it is flat, it provides just enough torque to counterbalance the rotational energy, or at least I think that's why it worked"
