My new Rhodes Mark 7 Piano 73 : from dream to nightmare...

VERY FAR from PERFECT... And the promotion of this Rhodes Piano is very exaggerated.
Well, I've bought a new Rhodes Mark and I'm VERY DESAPPOINTED !!!!!! My dream became a Nightmare ! From note n° 51 B note upwards, sound is perfect : i can feel the hammer and notes get "Brillance" exellent metallic sound. But under n° 51 B note, sound is not good AT ALL; exactly like simple synthetiser. Something got bonked during transit ?
And the sound is absolutly not I was waiting for "

Now what ya gonna do ? Can it get fixed ? Rhodes have a very nice sound, but that one's not good ! Get a refund and go Yamaha grand Just too get over the touch problems ??

@Deftcharge "Old" Rhodes-Fender Pianos are good but this kind of new pianos : there are 6 (!!!) different types of design and shore hardness of hammer tips on the Mark 7 Rhodes on all modals...

I heard Rhodes now have very bad (or non-existent) customer service. Having said that, the issue you are having is something you can (or should) correct by yourself. Rhodes is very simple instrument. The way Rhodes is designed, it'll require adjustment after transportation. I recently bought a bit worn out Mark V Rhodes, and I'm still adjusting it. It's kind of like guitar, but it has 73 strings & pick ups, I mean 73 tines & pick ups! Also preamp color the sound quality a lot. Good luck.

Learn to adjust a rhodes, its not that hard, I have one and I love it!
